I heard that the prommy's heatpad will fit in the case w/ the mobo. It doesnt fit in mine. If it fits in yours with no problem could you tell me what case you have please.

Lian-Li PC65B.

I'd think it would work in any case with 1/4" stand-offs or higher.

edit to add: stand-offs understand, not those funny molded-into-the-case-mounting-bumps in some cases, they might be too wide for the plate to sit in between.

also do any of those come predrilled for the prommy (the screw holes)

Kit-Tronics (http://www.kit-tronics.com/) will sell you pre-mod'ed PC-65's, evap hose hole cut too. Little pricey, but they'll do it. Regarding the PC-75, yeah, I'd like one too, I've heard the stock prommie hose won't reach the cpu in those. Don't know if it's true, but I've heard that.

edit to add: maybe b/s about the PC75 mounting, doesn't look wider or like the mobo mounts higher, but just looked, didn't look at measurements.

I think the 75 is also too deep to match the promie kit. :( I'm looking around too, probably going black and PC 61 or whatever.

That's the one. :)

FWIW, you can really spend too much and by some aluminum panels that match the look and width of the case for your prommie from them too. I think it's a waste of cash myself, but it is something some people are in to.

well i dont really care so much about the matching panels.. maybe in the future.. but i do want a case that i can actually fit the heating plate into w/o cutting out the back.. stupid round bumps!! *SHAKES FIST*

The PC75 is about 10 cm longer than the PC61/65, and therefore also longer than the Prommy case.
Cutted a hole at the back (like the original Prommy/Lian Li kit) for the hose to fit. No problems at all.
Also, it'd be better to cut a hole at the back of the case, because the back plate of the Prommy kit is pretty thick, and will bend your board a little bit.
I had it installed for months without cutting at the back, but made a hole anyway afterwards.

Here's an old pic of the PC75 mounted on the Prommy (before any cuts were made)

the PC75 is simply too big!!!

I got a Prommie under a PC65-B, and i can fit everything into it still, even a hardcore watercooling setup for NB and GPU.

True.
Just wanted to show how ugly that combination looks though. :D

yeah, and if you set it up so that simply the front lines up (since the 7x series is only deeper and taller) , then the hose would be too short to reach backwards.

I'm going for the cramming of watercooling into the PC6X series and the prommy li kit. Might not have room for many more optical drives with a rad up top. I'll probably just use one DVD burner and a black aerogate II fan controller. Im going to pony up the money for the expensive bottom prommie conversion. But I'll hack the $100 lian li myself.

I wouldnt bother spending the money on the lian-li if you arent after the total conversion. I know what Im doing is expensive, but I've seen plenty prop the Lian-li on top of the fugly steel and plastic prommie but that makes even less sense to me. Either go classy or ghetto. Your choice. Your only problem seems to be your standoffs are too small. Not really a reason to buy a Lian-li to me. Any other option with a lian li on top though is like putting a cadillac on top of cinder blocks.

I really hope the weak blowhole they already cut into all the Lian-li's now dont get in the way of my plans. I want to fit two 120's up top for a long rad but if the precut blowhole is too flush against the power supply it could stop me in my tracks. I want the hoses towards the supply then the blowholes towards the front. Really cant cut into the middle of their existing hole. Anyways, food for thought.
