Well im in the market for a new video card and i was searching around...and it seems as tho these new nvidia cards kick ass...so it looks like ill be buy one (i cant beleive i said that lol) The Ultra is so expensive...and from what ive seen the GT oc, on average, to Ultra speeds or better.... How well does the ultra oc? What bout the XTPE? Second to nvidia in many games or just doom3?

I'm happy with my GT for the time being. Sold my Ultra. Can't say for overclocking the Ultra, but my ultra did at least 1250 (stock for 1.6ns ram) on the memory. My Gt does ~1125-1150 memory and 400-425 Core on stock cooling with stock bios and volts. I'm 90% sure it's 100% good at 425/1150, but I'm not going to say 100% until I've had an all night gaming session.

The GT's seem to hit right around Ultra's stock settings and maybe a little more without mods. I would expect maybe 25mhz more on an ultra's core and 1000-2000more on an ultra's memory.

case of dyslexia this evening, my friend? :) (j/k)

Friends of mine who have the 6800 said the GT comes with faster RAM chips. I thought to myself this makes no sense, but that's what they said--6800U comes with 2.0ns chips and the GT w/ 1.6ns chips. Can anyone confirm this? If it's true shouldn't the GT's be capable of more mhz on the RAM than an ultra?

GT = 2.0ns Ultra = 1.6ns

Good Manufacturers rarely run ram out of spec. And if the Ultra's had 2.0ns ram, they would have to be running out of spec (1100mhz ddr stock)

For the additional voltage possible on core, and memory being better one, I recommend Ultra for ultimate OC'ing. XT-PE probably will OC just as high though comparitively speaking. GT's core has great potential but the fact they are using 2.0ns memory limits its memory OCability.
