is this the same design as there regualr vga silencer, just copper construction this time?

Would RAM sinks fit on the card with that beast on there as well?

The cooler cools the rams as well, it has a copper base and the rest is made of aluminium.

Looks pretty good, but ya gotta wonder why the back plate is aluminum, instead of copper. This might sound nutty, but it seems you'd want all the RAM cooled equally, wouldn't ya? I dunno, maybe it makes no diff.

I'd prolly cut alot of the excess metal off the back and leave enough for the three pins and the BGA Ram. I mean what exactly is half ove it for, its not like its vital to stary on the card.

Ok I got the link to work just posted somewhere else

It would make no difference if the backplate is made out of copper or aluminium, the 6800 cards habe all the ram on one side :D

Anyone know how this compares to the new Zalman? I'm getting whichever performs better but I'm inclined to the vga silencer, I like how it exhausts out the back.

The X800/R420 has ram on the back, so the version for it would need it.
