Haven't seen anything that singles out any clear winner yet for the GT's, However I would agree with Christoph, PNY are inexpensive, have a good warrantee, and typically decent quality. However, I read in another thread that EVGA has some kind of upgrade policy? Might be worth a look.
BTW: Lets keep in civil guys, and Christoph YHPM.

ya sorry :( so the gainward golden samples arent any good? If you were to buy any GT what would you buy Karnivore?

I haven't seen any GT's with 1.6ns ram. As for PNY, you can't beat a price that is exactly MSRP.

Have never really heard much bad about the Golden Samples, typically All I've heard about them has been good. I'm not sure what I'll buy, haven't even decided between ATI and Nvidia for sure yet.. I'll probably end up buying mine from Compusa for the TAP warrantee, and they do have PNY. Considering I had really good luck with 3 previous PNY cards, If I go GT that will probably be it...

I haven't used it yet myself, however quite a few have, and its my understanding that TAP (Technology Assurance Plan) allows you trade in yesterdays tech for tomorrows, for a minimal fee.
Exampl: buy 98pro for XXX.xx, and later tradin for 9800XT for XX.xx
Thats what I understand, and have seen others mention it, If perhaps someone who has used the TAP program can add to my description.

ya i dont really trust it, thats why im looking @ 6800's instead of x800.. the main reason is ppl say x800 for hl2 6800for doom3.. well hell my 9800pro plays cs:s fine so i know a 6800 will do better and since the 6800 does better in doom3 why not go for it.

Get the Albatron one.. 2 Molex connectors, 5 mosfets and exactly same PCB, which means you can get U's speeds easily.

Where can you find a cheap Albatron? Plus, I've heard the pictures of those cards are false, they really only come with one connector. No?
EnJoY - that's a good point u came up with ...
I've also thought all of the albatrons are with 2 conncetors - but it seems there are 2 pictures - some of them are dual dvi & power connectors and some of them are single dvi & single power connector - same goes for the pny cards ....
can someone clear this topic ? is it a false picture or 2 different lines of cards ?
coz from a thread i saw on hardforums the pny with dual dvi and power connectors can be flashed to ultra with np at all - cant tell about the memories and so ...
but it's still a good point - i wanted to ask that question myself !

They were all out there, so I ordered one from GameVE. I guess we'll soon see how they clock compared to others. :) I want 420mhz core stable atleast. I just had to sell my Golden Sample because it wouldn't do a thing above 400 core. :/
