View Full Version : How did you get your waterblock on Socket T?

I got the following to play with recently:

P4 520 (SL7 stepping!)
Abit AS8 mobo

and would love to see how far this CPU can go! :D

However, I cant seem to find any kind of waterblock (or even extreme air cooling) that will fit int he four mounting holes that socket T uses!

Looks like there are zero options for liquid cooling an LGA P4... all current intel waterblocks are designed to fit in the socket 478 retention mechanism :eek:

Any ideas? Thanks :D

Ouch, that is one pricey waterblock. I have a swifty mcw5000. and its great. Maybe I can try to mod it to fit with a homebrew plate...

Famous last words. Be damn sure your WB is making good contact with your CPU (especially if it's an AMD one) or you'll be getting a new one soon.
