a small chip was burnt its part of the vgpu circuit. i think the code is
I*R 348h

cause i can see the 348h and theres 2 identical chips near it. im not sure what the * thing is it looks like a star thingy.
does anyone know the details of this chip or have a bios dead 5900XT that i can get it off? i took the card to the electronics shop and the guy said he didnt have any and to try ebay.
i havent taken a pic yet casue i cant be fkd going to get the camera but heres one of the same chip off xbit

hello

the same thing happend to my card 5900xt leadtek
coz with volt mod u injected more than 2.00 v to gpu
the chip - not the gpu - didn t like it & burned !!
after buy a new card , i could read that all burned small chip
tell me if u want to know more

now using 1.85 v gives allows to reach 535mhz for gpu , error free
1.95 v allows 565 mhz
2.00 v allows 600 mhz ! yes !! for 5 minutes only ......after .......

staying at 1.85 with a small mem heathink is the good solution

if U want to know more 'bout that chip , tell it to me

See ya

Please verify the chip markings as a replacement may be the best bet.

If the markings you quoted are correct...the chip you need is actually called the IRF7458, and can be bought at www.digi-key.com for $1.70 each.

Here is a link (http://www.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail?Ref=203007&Row=277500&Site=US) to the exact product.

If you do buy this, it is very important that you solder the chip into place using the correct polarity. Under the chip in your pic is a little diagram, or atleast one should be there, that looks like a rectangle with a corner sliced off. That corner represents where pin #1 of the IC should be when the chip is soldered into place.
