I have an eheim pump, Maxxpert Radiator, Bayres, Swiftech MCw5000 cpu block, mcw50 gpu block. For some reason, when I run Speedfan, my temps are like....high 40's, like 47+. Shouldnt I be gettin way better than that with water?

yea...depending on the ambiet I can get low 20s to mid 30s

Ambient, just like aircooling, has everything to do with watercooling. That's when I report my temps I report them as offsets from ambient....ie idle is 32C below ambient and full load is ambient. Its much better than xC or yC which is no basis for comparison if you live in FL and the other OCer lives in Greenland....

That Maxxpert Radiator, have you got any pics of that? I think that could be the reason, it's not capable of dissipating heat the way you want :(

Here is a picture of it.

Wow, that radiator butchers flowrate, it also doesn't cool that well.

I would reccomend a better radiator.

where do you live?
do you want a plug n play radiator or is it ok if you need to work on it a little?

goto www.dangerden.com, buy a heatercore, dual if you have room in your case, they have awsome flow, are pretty cheap, and are very good at dissipating heat.

if you want i decent looking heatercore check out this at voyeurmods.com here

i just got the black dual heatercore today i must say it is nice. barbs are attached, paint is nice, and this thing is massive meaning good cooling. it is 2 inches thick without anything attached to it. go buy one now

what temp increases have you gotten with it?

I was a little surprised by my temps as well. 39 43 range getting up to 47 for the highest. I have a rad that is 7"x7" by 2". I had a slk 900a with a tornado before and the temps were the same but never got to 47c. Maybe the AS needs to melt. (no its not like a slice of cheese in thick.) I saw something before but I can't find it now, it had to do with the placement of the rad. Before the CPU or after and how does a res. fit into the combo and does it matter. Right now I have flow from the res>pump>cpu>rad>res. Jayfass did you have the same? What type pump do you have? Also having a computer that does'nt make any sound takes some getting used to. I heard my hard drive for the first time.

I have the eheim pump that goes directly into the innovatek reservoir to the radiator up to the bayres then around to the cpu then gpu then back to the pump

Thats a really crappy radiator. Actually it looks like a condensor coil, which explains its poor performance with water.

Get a heatcore ASAP and you'll drop a lot off your temps.

If you can... get a double length radiator, like the blackice pro 2 or Xtreme 2, this way you won't need a lot of airflow (and thus noise) to cool well :)

The rad you have now is crappy indeed... lose it :D

See if you can get hold of a thermochill 120.3. They are huge beasts and not very practical for a regular pc case, but man do they cool.

that voyermods radiator is the 77 bonneville core ...

I suggest you find WA2 at amdforums.com ... he sells the same ones with 2 fans for 39.99 + shipping ...

also, my friend's loop is RBX+BIX2+maze4gpu on an ehein L30 pump ... he gets from under 40 to 50C because where his case is set up is the "hot corner" of the house (no airflow there)

Whats RBX and BIX2? Also my case is the Lian Li PC-75 so im sure its big enough eh?
