I just got a used Leadtek Winfast A350XT TDH for.cheap. After installing it noticed it acting weird (driver errors, and lock-ups). I checked the BIOS, and it's a modded 5950 underclocked BIOS.
My stock BIOS card runs flawless at 475/900 all day long, but the Modded one craps out at 440/930. The FPS scores in all timedemos in UT2004, and in-game monitoring via stat FPS are lower with the modded card than the stock one as well.
Leadtek has no 5900XT bios on their site.
a link to a stock BIOS, or E-mail would be REALLY appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Thanks for the tip!
I'm looking at th link provided as I type, and it doesn't say if it's modded or not, and his site has LOT's of modded BIOS available.
I guess that the only way to find out is to give it a look
Thanks again.
EDIT: I just opened it up to look at it, and found that he BIOS in question is a modded BIOS. Thanks at least for the website. I see lot's of VGA card modding there...

from what i can tell, those bioses are NOT modded, he has a different section just for them. how are u telling its modded? clocked a bit higher than stock?

I opened it in an editor, and the default is 300/450/850, and the voltages are 1.5v for 3D, 1.4v throttle, and 1.2 volt for 2D. Additionally, the ID reads as a 5900 (NU), and not the XT, which uses a different driver set than the XT.
The voltage settings are higher than stock settings, and may be problematic. The "Norma" settings for most 5900XT cards are 1.4v, 1.3v, and 1.2 volts for 3D, throttle, and 2D respectively.
I'm still looking, without any luck for a stock Leadtek A350XT TDH bios. I have as of ten minutes ago, an Albatron 5900XT BIOS someone E-mailed me, and maybe it will work.....maybe not, as I use the VIVO functions, and they may not be compatible.
