(edit: see updated score below)
3400+ Clawhammer on K8NS-pro @ 1.925v - 10x282 - Mach II cooled (evap holds load @ -35)
bh-5 @ 3.35v (running at 335) (had to use divider since my ram won't do over 250 no matter the volts :()
9800pro 533/405 2.0vgpu/2.9vmem - VapoXE cooled (evap holds load @ -22)
WinXP/Cat 3.9beta (gave about 150 more pts that cat 4.6)
A bit disappointed that I couldn't get more clocks on my VC with my cooling. I have my vapo cranked on so tight that I'm surprised I didn't crush it. I had a 80W TEC on it previously and benched 500 with it. Any ideas what's going wrong for me? I thought I'd get at least 550 for sure.
This is actually a preliminary test as I'm waiting on my x800xt to get here. I'll also be using Win2K with it. Any guess from this score what I might be able to do with the x800xt?

with win xp, not much over 30k. with win 2k I recon 33k with good clocks on the x800xt and get over 300 in nature. sick 9800 pro score by the way, think ya can hit 30k with it with win 2k and slightly higher clocks?

nice.
what about running ur cpu at 250x(larger multi here) so u can get 1:1 with ur ram?

Well, the best I can do at 1:1 is 11x249 and that yields about 150-200pts less than 10x282 (bh-5 @ 235). The extra 70MHZ on the cpu makes it worth it. I have some 3700eb but it gets about 27k even at 10x278 1:1. However, I haven't done any A64 tweaking with the 3700eb and if I did I might get it to score a little better. (takes too long to figure out those tweaks - I just used CodeRed's specs for his bh-5 and it worked for mine - good for an extra 200pts when I run my ram at 249)
I would only expect to get an extra 500pts at best with Win2k. Is that a correct assumption? I made my run on a dirty XP.
Highest 9800pro on orb is 29k by Macci. In order for me to even flirt with 30k, I need to....1) get 100MHZ more out of cpu 2) get bh-5 to run at 265-270 3) get proper VC clocks for my cooling. And right now, I don't see any of those three happening.
I'll hit 28k with a clean win2k, the few extra MHZ left on my cpu & gpu, and by running '01 incrementally (I made my run straight through).
As far as my VC clocks are concerned, I am wondering if I just have a bad clocker because it's not responding much to the cold. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the cold on the x800xt.
I am going to remount both cpu and gpu. It was the first time I mounted either. I'm thinking I may not have the greatest contact on the cpu, and maybe a better contact will help me get more, I'm not sure. But I was sure hoping to be able to bench at 2.9GHZ.
Thx for the ideas, keep 'em coming.
hey!
i made 28.5k with my 98Pro card.. i was hoping for 29k but i couldnt make it. if my card had managed 590/430, 29k could be "easy"...
my Mach II held -45 under load (on my 9800Pro card), -51/52 idle.. VERY long cap tube.

30K with a 9800 Pro? You just said he couldn't hit much over 30K on the X800 XT and Win XP. Are you stoned?
With that CPU speed and HTT, and with that memory speed you're looking at 35K EASY!!! That assumes you put the X800 XT on phase-change and do at least a VGPU mod.
Nice R9800 Pro score!

yeah awesome for a 9800 pro. bmorin, you said u have 3700eb (gotta be like some of the best sticks in the world from what ive seen) that do the the fsb u need to go 1:1... and then u say it would be impossible?? or did i read wrong.
that score macci got with an se>pro was amazing. still is.

My 3700eb will do a very high fsb 1:1 (278 is my max). But 3700eb at 278 (3,3,2,8) is only as good in '01 as my bh-5 running at 250fsb (5,2,2,2) give or take 2-3fsb.
I know Sandra shows my 3700eb with much better bandwidth than the bh-5, but when it comes to '01, nothing can touch the timings that bh-5 delivers. What I really need is some bh-5 that will do about 280. I wonder how much that will cost me, lol.

3k more in win 2k?! i VERY much doubt that, with everything turned off winxp is no different to win2k.

StormPC--> hehehe "30K with a 9800 Pro? You just said he couldn't hit much over 30K on the X800 XT and Win XP. Are you stoned?"
I hope that Geforce4ti4200 typed that wrong, otherwise I dont know what to say ;-)

bmorin - i thought that might've been the case. is that board vmodded to feed the ram with more volts? sorry if u already stated, but ive forgotten.
lol at what geforce said, maybe another one of his, and i quote "brain farts" - stormpc :D

Still on my well used WinXP and still with the same VC clocks. I'll remount VC later and try for more:
