Why does some people have to post every result that they get??? Stop posting more than 1 post/system. I'v seen people (coolaler, etc) that have over 15 results posted. Thats not nice to us other people that tries to climb the orb.

yeah, really annoying!

might be nice to see how your score improves slowly, but please remove the lower scores after your done maxing out your hardware!

why dont you just use only highest score/user

yeah 1 score per setup, maybe a stock score as well. its annoying. i dont like having to go 1 score/user. i also like seeing amd runs and p4 runs by the same person.

Yes I could do that but thats not the point here, If every user just posted 1 results/system I wouldent have to do that!!! right?

the ORB should set by default 1 score (highest) per user in the search drop down menu

I totally agree, its really annoying.

I try to have only one result per setup, but sometimes I'll temporarily put up a lower score for comparison (eg air cooled). But I wont leave that up for more than a day or so.

I don't think its all that bad on the ORB. At the Aquamark ARC thing its the worst. You don't have an option to filter out more than the users best run, unless I am missing something.

I agree people posting multiple scores with the identical rig sucks, but limiting the number of published scores to 1 per user is not the answer. There are many people who would just (and do) use their multiple screen names and post them anyway.

I feel your pain but your cause is lost I'm afraid. Just use 1 score per user option. It's not that difficult.

I have like 5 different scores published because I'm using them to compare settings. (A A64 that scores 23K has a lower X run than a P4C that scores 23K or the same thing with a 59xx VS a 9x00)

That's different, but especially guys on the front page who publish multiple scores is a burnout.

This is one of the most annoying things.... I can understand having a few scores with different setups but these people that publish EVERY single damn run they do is annoying as hell.

Frank E. BoNeS--> "but these people that publish EVERY single damn run they do is annoying as hell. " No wonder the Orb is slow. By the way, congrats to a nice score on the orb.

Yeah really. It's silly how damn slow the ORB is sometimes.

Thanks man. I was going for more the other night and killed my mobo :(...I got scared I toasted the CPU for a second there but its OK. I just got a new mobo today so maybe I'll get a chance to do a little benching this weekend.

So that's why it takes five minutes to upload my results and another five to view a compare link geesh!

Agreed btw, I will write to Futuremark about this!

I often view Frank's benchmark scores just to remind me that my system is not that fast ;( Btw man, this new thumbs up smiley is growing on me :D http://forum.skill-club.com/images/smilies/default/icon14.gif vs

well i dont think it should be set to 1 score per user, and 2 or 3 scores per rig is ok IF there are real;l;y changes between the two scores.

like one score stopck and one score max oc.

or one score max oc on air and one with phase change... that would be interesting results.

haha, i wasnt insulting him, sorry if it came across that way :) hes obviously a skilled oc'er/tweaker and knows the right hardware for the job.

I was only kidding about the insult part :). Met Bones back in the day, believe i was overclocking a pally back then so back in the days of good ol' AXP clocking, he's put up some nice numbers w/ AXP systems, P4s (I bought his P4 system :D), and now he's getting into the A64 + X800. He's gotten into some hardcore stuff lately--water chill (http://forum.skill-club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16116) and the Mach II.

Here (http://forum.skill-club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7738) is a benchmarking thread at the community we are members of; probably sub-par compared to what you guys are used to, but it's all good. :)

I hate that too. I don't see why you need to upload any results during a benching session, its a waste of time. Just save them and upload later. Having 2 or 3 up temporarily for comparing is fine, but having like 9-10 up for 3 or 4 day or more is ridiculous.

Sorry for the bumpage but now there's this 'CoolalerBB Onepagebook' guy with like 6 published scores on the front page. This is absurd....I really hate using the 1 score per user option but it looks like I'm gonna have to.....

if posting a million scores isnt enough you have to wade through this kinda stuff....

and this one I dunno either....

Ahh, this prob is partly my fault. I've cussed at them while trying to publish before too, but I could definitely clean up my page a bit. Sorry guys. Edited: Done deal. I figure most folks wouldn't mind cleaning things up, so maybe someone should post about it at the Orb.
