I recieved this card hours ago and I can use the slower omega drivers in the meantime to test out the softmod, but I need a permaent hardmod to keep it as 9700 at all times, how is it done and any guides? once its a 9700, I can use any normal cats.

That should give you the idea. It's a bit small, but a very simple procedure. Good luck :)

use a pencil or conductive pen and bridge the two points. You can also solder it, dont worry about the capacitor.. its not needed.. its even a good idea to remove it if you do the mod with a pencil seeing as the pencil will have more resistance than the capacitor if you dont do it heavy enough..

Conductive ink pen/trace pen is the best way to go.

Best of luck with your new card Gf4. However, don't expect any miracles...the great majority of 9500's will not make it to 440mhz on air, regardless of Vgpu.
