as in the title. i have nf7-s v2 and mcw462-uht. the mobo came back from rma and i tested it with air hsf and it booted fine. so i prepared the mobo for installation, put the mcw462 on the cpu set up everything in the case, powered up and nothing. i connected the speakers and there's no beeps or anything. any ideas. thanks

how are you powering the tec?
have you tried it with a normal hsf again?

i'm using Meanwell 320-12. i didn't try it again with air HSF. i will do it tomorrow and post the result.

took off the mcw462 and tried the air hsf and everything worked. checked if the mcw462 was getting cold - YES it was. there was clear mark on the mcw462 metal plate that it had good contact with the cpu die. i put a little of thermal compound on the mcw462 's cold plate and i see clean square so i guess that means good contact. i tried different graphic card, but i tried it before with that card too and it wasn;t working. LMK if you guys know the solution for this. btw i'm out of those really thiny washers, can i put the standoffs on bare mobo. the washers after removing the mcw462 were squashed pretty bad, so i guess putting the standoffs on bare mobo could crack it or something. thanks in advance.

hmmm does the pc boot but the display stays black? or does the system not really boot? are the hdds spinning up? does it sound like they are booting?

some boards need a fan plugged to the cpu fan connector or they dont boot, its to protect people from booting with a defective cpu fan... maybe thats it?

everything is at stock voltage. i dont know the water temp - don't have probe. but i notice that my tubing is kinkin like crazy and some of the tubes are very flat, probably reducing the water flow a lot. what do you suggest for a good tubing that won't king and has pretty think wall. i'm using regular tubing from local home depot. thanks

yes i'm in states and placed the order for some clearflex 60. but after i placed the order i was driving by home depot so i decided to go inside and see what other tubing they might have. suprisingly they have some 1/2ID-3/4OD tubing :) (10foot for like $6) so i grabed one. it looks very strong, and even the sharpest turns don't make it flat or kink. not sure if my old clamps will fit on the new tubing. i'm going to put the new tubing tomorrw.

there are pieces of spiral like bent wires you pull over your tubes to make sure they dont bend too far. can only reccomend those.

thicker tubing isnt always better, some still tend to bend completely and cut the flow if you dont take care.

yeah i was thinking about those (i saw something like that once on the net), but all i could find was the coolspring or whatever it is, but that thing goes over the tube on the outside and i was interested in something that will go inside and is clear. anywya i'll see how the 1/8 tubing is going to perform. but i really gave pretty good beating to it during my "test" :) and it survived everything. U turn is the sharpest turn in my loop and i was able to get the tube far more than U.

Got the same hose in my system no need to go broke buying tygon when you dont have to, at 90'f they are rated at 250psi which you water or tec cooled system will never see. I have them double clamped on the fittings and they do not kink and have been in my system for 1 year and no problems.
