Looks like Opp has got the GPU Cascade going...

Great core clock Opp! Gotta pull back my memory some and up the core cos the artifacts are pulling down my scores. If Opp gets to touch his rig again, 18K should be down within minutes :)

Nice work Opp ( and Lardarse as well ) wonder who will get there first ?
Shame there are all those bogus 6800 scores cluttering it all up, Futuremark need to fix that with a patch.

Very nice.
Lets get him to bench Doom 3 next :D

nice work both of ya's... lardarse ur doing that with a pro>xt? very nice.
LardArse
08-09-2004, 11:51 PM
Yea, its a Pro flashed to an XT. The core's lookin kinda weak, it runs GT 2 to 4 without problems at a much higher core clock but on GT 1 I can't push her too far :(
Are those speed readings wrong at opp??? Or does he just have a magic card??
Slower CPU slower grafic... How the hell can he be up your ass?

1 of them has to be wrong...

orb doesnt read right over 4ghz unless they've fixed it?
Or maybe he has a really nice 1:1

congratz, which cats are you using?
oh and is your card a X800 Pro vivo?
Cause i got a grandmars x800 pro non vivo modded and flashed to xt bios however futuremark wont show me a X800XT it shows X800 Pro altho all 16 pipes are running.
with which bios did you flash it if its a non vivo?

Sick scores!
Really good work by all of u who´s up there :)
Like STEvil said, doom3 bench plz...
Wonder if it could run smooth with 1600*1200 ultra quality max AA/AF with those kind of rigs :D:D:D
LardArse
08-10-2004, 04:50 AM
Thx. Cats used were the 4.7s, and yes its a Pro VIVO. I think the bios flashed is Gigabyte's but I ain't too sure cos it was first used by Visionary who flashed it.
Saaya, it isn't fun racing with the PS nullers.... plus the Ultra had to be returned :p:

Nice show guys.
Nice CPU speed Lardarse 4.6Ghz EE?
PS nulling is an option? LOD bias is still legal? I dont want to PS null past you guys.
LardArse
08-10-2004, 06:54 AM
FUGGER, 4.58 for a safe run... PS nulling is an option indeed, one that you should leave out while benching fairly, including the "Enable Lowest MIP MAP". LOD Bias doesn't do much at 03.

Congrads on the 18k:toast:
Thats some killer memory clocks.
I was going to try for some more today, maybe not now:D
Great job!!
OPP
saaya
08-10-2004, 07:03 AM
in doom3 i even get less fps with the mip map tweak, lol
too bad man, that 6800 was sure clocking nicely!
after having played with both and pretty much having pushed them both to their max, what do you think of both cards? and wich do you prefer and why? thx :)
LardArse
08-10-2004, 07:12 AM
Thx Opp :)
Looks like I'm gonna have to coax bit more out from her once you get down to it
saaya, it feels safer benching with the 6800s since its pretty damn hard to kill 'em compared to the X800s, but the throttling is annoying and time wasting trying to combat it.

Wow that's amazing...and it's a pro flashed to an XT too. :slobber:

congras on the first 18k and without cheats. Yes FM really needs to delete all those scores which used null cheats and make a patch which detects for null. as for nvidia throttling speeds, theres a way to disable that I believe but if it overheats its dead then! Give 2001 a go too with that setup, could be a close one ;)

Yea, the orb often displays incorrect clocks for video cards. We often list them in the description.
Insane clocks for sure

Holck had the first legit 18K, IIRC. But other PS Nuller's made it so he couldnt publish?

first 800MHz GPU in the 03 ORB?
See sig.
Need to fix my GT3 and it should be pretty close to 18k.
Damn PSU and POS CPU limiting the score a bit =)

I'll try next time with another bios. I have no idea which bios my friend flashed it with :D
macci
08-22-2004, 08:18 AM
The bios I'm useing can be found HERE (www.akiba-pc.com/es.bin).
Lardy, can you dump the BIOS from your card too (with atitool for example)? Would be interesting to test it out. Seems to give nice RAM OC atleast. :D
Nearly got to 18k today. 801/672 and 4.35G and also good GT3 FPS but the dang thing didn't quite finish the test - POS CPU decided to crash it :D
btw, whats the highest peak FPS you've seen on ATI card during GT1? 1834 here :D
LardArse
08-22-2004, 08:23 AM
Sure, or I can just check with Visionary.
GT1... IIRC its 1.9k+ but I'm not that impressed after being spoilt by the 2.1k+ peak of the 6800U :D
eva2000
08-22-2004, 08:31 AM
GT1 with 2.1k peak   :)
Best i can do is 1762 peak in GT1 air cooled of course
LardArse
08-23-2004, 03:11 AM
I dont understand why Tom isn't able to publish scores though, all he needs to do is to resubmit the score and it will be publishable cos that period there was a cap but now there is none, cept a 20K cap :D

I wonder how OPP has done this !
Jou (LardArse) have more GPU/Mem and CPU clock !
Btw. congratis to both of ya !
Very nice work.
You got morePoints in 3D mark 03 than me in 01 :D

macci its the Gigabyte bios. Give it a shot if you wanna, see if you can still do 800 core at the same time :)

X800XT draws so much more juice than the old 9800xt that the 550w truepower couldn't handle it all. Had to lower CPU vcore down to 1.8V and the poor cpu doesn't do much over 4.3G at that vcore. With OCZ 520W PSU it worked at 4.45G again thou (was able to use normal Vcore).
But luckily intel wanted there ES cpu back (it wasn't very good clocker but the unlimited multiplier was a nice thing). a retail 3.4G EE is in the benching rig now :D
It does 4.5G at 1.68V and 25C warmer evap temp ;) Spi1M at 4820MHz so far and not even max Vcore and I'm fairly sure I hit the 5:4 limit of this particular mobo too :P 4.7-4.75G 3D run should be possible once the cooler works like it should work.

like one PSU for mobo, one for vid card, and all other drives and stuff

Just connect the green wire in the ATX-cords to each other (and ground from both) and they start at the same time...
