hey guys!



i

because i have burned my first socket 754 board, i tought of buying an heater so that i dot get condensation. But i dont really know where to buy one from. nventiv has gone into konkurs as u guys know so where do u guys buy a heater? any car shops may have them?

I do not use one, but then again it is quite dry in Colorado. I suggest if you really cant get one to make sure you coat the back of your board with some dielectric grease, It has worked wonders for me.

Good luck with the hunt, Ill go and google around. I wonder if Grier @ kitronics has any he wants to part with?

You can get heaters from car wing mirrors( very good idea Marci):) Just go to scrap yard and find a car with heated mirrors and smash them. There should be a similar heating element in there as Prometeias use.

really nice doe..i done mine the same way now...used some vaseline around the cpu socket. it worked great :)
