finally some interesting CPU's coming for the 775.
they may not be 478's, but they should be interesting to see :)

I guess intel wants a lot people to jump old s478 to new s775. That would surely do it.

By the time that 3.43 comes out we will probably have the FX-55. And, it seems the 3.73 is going to be OEM only (not a barrier to everyone here) and not meant at all for public availability.

It's interesting I guess.

personally if I was to jump to 775 stuff, I'd go for the 865 boards.
I don't care one bit about PCI EX or anything, that OC lock makes the boards to restricting to me, so I wouldn't care one bit about the so called "drawbacks" of the 865-to me, it would be worth it.
that board with a CPU at... 14x266 and a 2 meg cache would just be alot of fun...

Intel should make thier EE unlocked. If someone is willing to pay 1000$ to OC it, and get on top, I think it would be good that they think about unlocking them....

Except Kanavit, who whould buy a EE w/o OCing it?

I agree with skate2snow....Intel EE's shouls ALL be unlocked. And yes, running an EE at 266 x 15 would be amazing...which reminds me...I need to go to RadioSlut to get some wire so that I can do my VTT mod today. I wouldn't mind running a 15 or 14 multiplier over the 16 I am doing now. I have the OCZ booster and some kicka$$ BH-5...just need to make VTT track on this IC7-MAX3 to make it perfect!
