Got my R9700 BBA yesterday.
Started to do some 3D marking today:

17437 points (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4824299)

Card is OC'ed to 391/357 STOCK on air

only has shim removed and Artic Alumina on core.

Going to see if I can push the memory up,still with highest possible timings (i think  )
CPU and R9700 can do up to 205fsb as you can see (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4820837)

391/357 is on all tests ! still have to push the card to the max on air. and find best speeds per test.

But I need to install rage3d to find max settings since Powerstrips next settings jump to almost 400/370.
Rage3D should allow some more fine-tuning. (So I've been told)

Special thanks to the guy who sold me this fine card (don't know if I'm allowed to mension his name)

Any comments, tips, advise, .... are welcome

Just noticed my Lobby scores are on par with Opp's and MrIcee's (much) higher overall scores

Strange, since my card is clocked much lower

Well, this is a good thing then. It's probably because of your higher FSB speed. Didn't they only get to high 190 FSBs?

Card clocks give you practically nothing in lobby. I think in lobby high it gives you absolutely nothing, in the lobby low its 2-3 FPS not more than that. Pure memory (mainly) and CPU speed test.

On the other hand I am a bit sad to see the AMD rig still 2000 points behind what the P4 does at a comparable relative overclock... :(

Yep JC, You can do 18,5K without even breaking a sweat. The AXP is slacking behind.

Wel then let's scrath that Lobby score up to the memory then ;)
Since my CPU is clocked a tad lower than MrIcee's and (for amd) a lot less then OPP's.

Anyone have an idea where to get those newer 6193 drivers??
I downloaded my drivers from ATI site yesterday, only 6166.

Upped the FSB by 1mhz ;)

Still running maximum timings: Cas2 2-5-2 2 1T!!! fast decode
Card pushed to 391/360 still stockcooling for all tests

New score: 17688 (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4825696)

Al tests are up except Car Chase high detail, it dropped 1.1fps.
To bad, because I needed those extra points to pass Mbrock.
Now I'm behind with 1 dumb point ;)

I think the card is "on its *ss" so to speak. On air that is.

I still have my DD gf3 waterblock + pelt (what gives me -8°c when using ambient temp water) from my Xtreme R8500 cooling article in reserve.

But for the moment (to be quite honest) I'm to chicken to put on.
:p I wouldn't want to kill this nice card that's only been in my posession for 30h or so :D

I'm guessing (well actually hoping) that my overall system speed is about the same as Opp's and MrIcee's systems.

Only I lack the extreme GPU speed and sh|tload of 3Dmark tweaking knowledge :p :D

Im curieus to know what the "Gurus" think about this

Good to see you got a good card, you got PM with some suggestions to help your score.

Yups it's originally your card Fugger.

Didn't know that I could tell that it was JC's card (in open on the forum). As I said in the original post

I don't know what deals or things JC had going on so I kept my mouth shut.

I really wanted that card As it will let me go up to 205 fsb in 3Dmark.

Still have to find out max fsb exactly. But 202 was my goal so....
I'm one happy

Yea, that card had the ability to handle high AGP. first criteria that a card must pass before it gets kicked to the curb. I have had many cards that were total crap in the AGP department.

I abandon the P4PE for the time being, its a dog in 3DM yet it hits very high memory timing for me. I was able to OC 9700's higher on the thing but yet yielded no fruit. I hope next BIOS fixes the lack of memory bandwidth. The mobo cranks memory and AGP very nicely as I was able to hit 3.4Ghz 440/360/82 2-6-2-2 @ 252 and not break 18K (The P4PE has "AGP driving strength" in BIOS) that seems to make a difference when cranking the core higher compared to the IT7 with the same card.

I put the same video card into my IT7 and could only hit 418/360/82 2-6-2-3 @ 226 and posted a new high score. Granted not much higher but at least I passed a few people.

I should do a review of the P4PE, I took lots of notes and the mobo seems to be a great mobo for general use.
