Hmmm,...I don't get my new X800 VIVO...

16 pipes-mod successfull
VGpu mod successfull
Vmem mod successfull

GPU is watercooled, max. temp under load is 45°C / really cool I'd say. Now with a VGpu of 1.69V it is ATItool proofed errorfree at 600MHz. BUT! I can't run 3DMark03 at that speed. Only 580MHz GPU is free of freezes. ???
I always assumed ATItool to be more accurate than 3DMark03. At least back in the R9800 time.

Furthermore I have never seen a single picture error yet. (like flipping polygons, dots, etc.)
I do always get freezes -> VPU recover -> back to desktop

WTH is going on with the X800 Series in terms of OC. What is your experience?

In my experience, if you OC an X800 series too high, they won't be any artifacts. They just freeze during 3D Mark. If you try "Find Max Core" with ATI Tool, you won't see any artifacts. The core speed just, climb and climb and then it freezes.

Maybe you should back off the VGPU a bit as it's kinda high. Sometimes too high is not good also. Stay around 1.6v with water.

atitool always shows 10mhz or so higher than what you can actually get.

Put a temp sensor on the back and play painkiller or doom 3 ;)

D3 is now stable at 600/600. :D
But not 3DMark.

And the back of the GPU doesn't even get handwarm. My Watercooling is pretty potent.

Tried the OIP mod?

Do I have to do a VDDQ and/or Vref mod too, to make this work?

Afaik you don't need to do any other mod to make the overcurrent protection mod to work.

Is there no one on XS.org who gained on the MemOC by increasing Vmem?

With 9800 series cards ATItool was always alot lower than what you could acutally get...

Isnt freezing caused because that GPU isnt getting enough Volts??? Artifacts is from heat...

But hey i think that if you turn the vGPU more up on water your gonna fry... But at you insanely LOW prices in US this should be no problem...

Raising voltage made the X800 freeze less so that might be a option if you have good cooling.

btw from which company is your vivo?

I am already at 1.67V VGPU. Core only gets to 45°C max on load. So cooling is not the issue here.

@ eminem: read OC.at ;)
