I'm looking at upgrading the 80W pelt that is in my MCW-50-T water block. After looking around it looks as if the best option is to get a 172W 24V pelt @ 11A. I have a spare MeanWell S-320-12 power supply lying around i used to use for my 226W pelt before I got a vapochill lightspeed. Also my computer powersupply is a Forton 530W. My question is would it be safe to run like this to obtain 24V.
- > Computer PSU +12V to MeanWell Ground, Meanwell +12V to pelt postive, peltier ground to Computer PSU ground
This does indeed give me 24V but im totally unsure of the amperage as a result from doing this. I didn't want to purchase a S-320-24 unless I have too. Thanks. :)
