whenever i think of computer modding and the such, i'm completely opposed to mounting anything outside of the original computer case (unless for aesthetic purposes). is there any way to take a vapochill, gut it, and put it insidethe case itself. and correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the compressor get rather hot, so you would need sufficient air cooling as well. i'm seriously considering this instead of going with water cooling for my next big project, i just don't want a nasty box under my rig, nor do i want to shell out close to 850 bucks in such a huge investment and soon realize i'm stuck. any help would be great!
Sell it on if you don't like it :p:
You can strip it all out, however you'll need a sheet of mild steel or secc about 1mm thick to mount it all on. BTW mild steel rusts, and usually prometeias and vapochill-LS tend to drip condensation around their capillary tube coils, so you'll be after neoprene etcetera too.
Here is how Bit-tech transformed the super-ugly vapochillXE to a lian-li (vapo-li, also a prommy-li has been made before). Sorry to link outside of XS: http://www.bit-tech.net/article/79/

Instead of buying a vapochill and gut it, Send your case to Chilli1 or pc ice and they will make a custom phase change system inside your case for same or less money than a Vapochill ls and with better temps for sure.
PS: Chilly1 or pc ice, send my check to... :D
