I was planning on getting a MSI K8N Neo Platinum but boshi was kind enough to tell me that they suck

so whast the best mobo out right now, it doesnt have to be the best mobo for overclocking, all I want right now is a mobo that will run at stock speed with stability, once the DFI boards come out then I'll buy that one and start overclocking, but for now I just want one that will run and not die in 5 minutes?

any suggestions?

MSI Will do good at stock speed - but so will GIGABYTE K8NS PRO and it is doing quite well with the new bios (f2) ...

Gigabyte is a great board, stable, OC's well, and decent features. Hopefully the DFI will be good enough for me to retire my trusty K8N Pro...

DFI----- > Epox > Gigabyte > .........................MSI..................> Asus

That looks about right

Just about yeah, the EPoX and GB are very close...

I wouldn't touch the MSI or ASUS :D

Avoid the MSI at all costs, I have one and it doesn't even do 220MHz. I know my ram, videcard and CPU can still go higher though. There are no locks on the MSI board, so if you don't have a videocard that can handle around 80MHz then you will have a really hard time OCing it.

I'm waiting for the DFI.

There are some issues with flucuating voltages with the Epox, and you can't use the OCZ booster on it due to 5v rail. If you can get it to work properly, the Epox is probably better because of the 250GB chipset vs 250 on the gigabyte.
