Flash at your own risk.
I can't test it, cause I don't have a 6800 ultra myself.
I would do it in a second if I could, I just don't have a card to do it on.
but heres the BIOS if you wanna try it.

it changes the default speeds to 450/600.
probably bumps the default core voltages alittle too.
possibly mem, but I really can't say I know for sure, thats just what usually happens with these kinda flashes.

to Backup:

nvflash.exe -b backup.rom

to flash:

nvflash.exe -f (biosname.rom)

and you need NVFlash of course.
it would probably be a good idea to make sure your card can do 450/600 or very close to it, incase the flash doesn't actually involve a core or mem voltage boost.

backup your original BIOS of course, and perferably have a PCI card handy incase the flash doesn't work good for you so you can reflash back your old BIOS.

nvflash.exe -f backup.rom

thats to flash back to a original BIOS,
I wouldn't suggest trying this with a 6800 GT unless your very adventurous. I personally wouldn't do it.
but if you do and it works, then by all means, post some results ;)

like always, be careful, and remember, no ones making you do this, so you do it at your own risk.

thx Kunaak!! woot! why wouldn't it work on a GT??

well, I can't say for sure it wouldn't, I just don't know.

your card uses 2.0NS ram, the UE uses 1.6 NS ram.
it shouldn't be a huge issue, cause I know you can do things like use the 5950 bios on the 5900NU despite the different ram...

but who knows.
it might work-it might not.
I just don't know...

Well, I'd give it a shot Kanavit, if your GT can do 450/600. ;)

Make sure you have a PCI video card handy, or are able retrace your steps blindly to flash back just in case :)

Would be very interesting to see if it raises volts, or changes timings or something...

I have a few other 6800 Ultra Bioses that I been collecting from around the net.

this ones just the funnest one.

so does your card have to do 450/1100 to use this BIOS? not many can...

wouldnt it be 450/1200?

like he said, you should make sure it can do those speeds, just incase the voltage doesnt bump up the voltage(enough) to get the clocks stable.

Do you have a PNY ULTRA BIOS for me? ;)

I don't know...

very few of the BIOS's are actually labled by brand.
just codes like.

68GTVF2.Rom and such.

I have 5 Bioses so far, but one is encrypted and I can't remember who I downloaded it from to ask for the code...

plus, I wouldn't say the card needs to be able to do 450/600 at default, just atleast close.
I mean if you cards not even doing 400/500 I wouldn't bother cause .1 volt increase isn't gonna help much.

also I say 450/600 cause 600 is half of 1200.
DDR ram remember ;)

Even if it doesn't do 450/600, those are the 3D clocks.

It doesn't boot up in 3D mode, so its not the end of the world.

Yup, i'm sure your video card could be well past unstable clocks and still boot up fine...
