I have installed DoomIII, but when I start the game a window pops up and says " CD/DVD emulation software detected, please disable and then continue."

I have no idea what its telling me.
HELP!!!!!
I wanna play!

Are you running something like daemon tools? Might be some sort of anti-piracy protection.

do you have any virtual drives? or a software like alchohol 120 running?

Yep that's your problem guy Alchol or some other virtual drive program you have loaded on to your pc. I heard some people having problems with FarCry too. I run Alchol and have yet to run into a problem, but I never leave mine in the systray

I use daemon tools all the time and have run into no problems. I have just infact installed doomIII off a virtual drive tbh.

I hasd GhostCD installed, un-installing it did it

Same here I installed it off a virtual drive too. Using Alcohol 120%!!

Installing off a virtual drive will work fine, but trying to use the virtual drive to start the game won't work (at least with Daemon Tools). Which is too bad, because I bought the game but I don't like having to use my DVD-ROM drive allt he time.
