X800Pro VIVO, what's your full load temp.

What's your card full load temp. ? Mine's are damn hot !

Mode: X800Pro VIVO 12pipelines full laod 79'c
Cooling: stock

Mode: X800XT PE core 16pipelines 400mhz, ram 1.15ghz full laod 77'c
Cooling: stock

Mine was hitting 77C loads too, 16 pipes and 530 MHz on the core though. And this was at 24C ambient! ...with an open case! Pretty disgusting temps with the stock cooler. These suckers just aren't cooled well by the stock cooler.

check the grease, in the past ATI has offered crap grease...

I get around 68C with the stock cooler. But, my case is really cold thanks to my fast (if noisy) delta fans. My 9800xt touched 80C (possibly higher) earlier while playing far cry even at stock. All temps with stock cooler.

I just pulled of my HS and put on the maze 4, I couldn't beleive how much goo was under there :eek: There was a ton. My temps seemed alright though. With the stock hsf it was 55c after a few 3d runs. It might be worth trying some new thermal grease.

Actually, I already removed the orginal grease and now is using artic silver 3. It still god damn hot, so gonna to get rid of the original hsf. Any good suggestions for the cooler ?

Btw, I really want to know what's the full load temp. while runing at X800XT PE default mode ? Because my system hangs, running at 520core. Don't know it is the high temp. make me fail or the die are not good in quality....

I get pretty much the same sort of temps. Varys with the ambient of course though. Usually around 43 idle and then 82 after full load for a while. Thats only with the full load from ati tool though. Never seen it get up to 80 after gaming.

Finally, get a Zalman dual heat pipes hs + fan. Rock stable at XT PE speed for 4hrs scan for artficat by atitool and no problem in looping 3d marks03 for a while. Full laod 69'c, idle 45'c, room temp 29'c compared with stock cooling at Pro speed full 79'c. idle 49'c, really a big improvement and remember that I also in 16pipes too.

But still no luck for more aggresive core settings, it hangs right after 520 core, and ram max out at 1.2g only. I think I need to check the GPU voltage and do something....

I never even try the stock cooler , after i flash the BIOS , actualy the first think that i did when i got the VGA is to take out the stock and to moutn my WATERCHILL GPU block on the VGA .... full load i got 36'C idlle is something like 30'C ..
