That is a sick score for an x800pro and windows xp handicap! with win2k and a little more clocks on the x800pro he could get at least 35k and its not a prediction but fact. win 2k>xp by like 500 marks in his case! edit: hes got like 70MHz higher cpu clocks but is only matching OPP's car high. win xp costs him 70MHz cpu power

by the looks of that score he 's still running that vid car on air (prob around 570ish MHz). This is going to be one sick score once he sticks another cascade on that GPU ... look out OPP

His VC is on water. Knowing him it's chilled. He's only running a Pro though, not an XT. That's not a bad score at all for a non modded 12 pipe card.:)

Yep, there's not much difference between the Pro and XT when you wind those R420s tight and freeze'em. 12 pipes is not always a disadvantage in 2k1. You lose a bit in some spots but gain in others.

wow isnt that phase change unit worth as much as a whole x800xt itself? well you can have top spot in both x800pro class and wait a few months for x800xts to become widely available then grab top spot with x800xt too :D

Its not the overvolting and current limiting thats limiting my card ... its the bloody drooping Vgpu. No matter how high I set it at idle, it drops to 1.68V under full load ... grrrr. Need a droop mod for this card.

need a 2v psu with a direct vgpu mod. After I did the direct vmem mod on my 9700, the voltage couldnt stray a single bit. It got me 20MHz more on the mem than with a VR setting the mem to 3.3v.

Not bad, but opp has 244MHz higher cpu clocks, higher gpu clocks(7fps more in nature, ahead in drag high, car low) Thus I can infer that s939 is worth 300MHz over s754! also OPP may have a higher fsb as well on s754, making s939 even more amazing. Its such a shame s939 fx53 cant overclock as well as the 3700+ and also s939 mobos are lower quality. Imagine a 3.2GHz on s939, that would own seriously!


and to give credit to pc ice, hes not far behind with 12 pipes, what do you recon 16 pipes will get ya? the first 38k? :toast:

Ah interesting :D I notice my max fps is like 100 higher than my average fps or about a third higher so I figured a third higher than 750 would be about 1k. How much more left in that rig do you recon there is? enough for 38k? :D also hows your s939 fx53 been doing?

With my OS setup right now and the strong card clocks, I should be able to do another 500 points with the FX.

Opp's 3799 really takes a dive in Lobby compared to the FX53, I hadn't relaised it was that much, but his video card makes it up and more .. no wonder you do not want it to blow ;).

When wil lyou two guys be getting the XT800PE and FX53 out respectively ? Race to 38k ? Maybe pkrew or oc-rookie are still improving kit and beavering away as well so it might be them.
