i did the SMD grabber vmod for the 9700 pro ...

as described here: http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/articles/guides/R9700_Vmod_1.html

well one thing led to another, a cat found the loose wire hanging off ... ended up ripped the entire pin off the card. I was in the process of putting the thermaltake giant III together :P

the solder pad on the PCB is still good, but the pin broke off flush with the chip, so there's nothing to solder on to...

is there anyway to bypass this, or jump it?

I know I can buy a replacement chip, just wondering if there were any other options

I've had some success with broken pins like that. Take a pin, or other extremely pointy/sharp tool, and carefully scratch away a bit of the silicon. Tin your wire, get it in place and put some heat on it. Its pretty tough to get a strong solder joint doing it this way so attaching the wire to the board with Silicon, hot glue, or similar will help strenghten it. If you pre-position, and secure, it will also help you get a conductive joint..
