What a waste, give in to peer pressure OVERCLOCK, mild OC will give you much better boost, and cost you alot less..

sorry guys, i guess i got extremely excited. Just did a sandra run, and scored lower lol. i got 4.3k, from 4.5k with 3.0e.
well, the big highlight of my upgrade wasn't cpu actually. It was the new all copper Zalman cooler w/92mm quiet fan. It's huge 740grams, and easily installed in P4 retention brackets.
my temps with 3.0E /intel stocker cooler
idle: 47.6c full: 62c dB:41
my temps with 3.2E/ Zalman
idle: 45.8c full: 65c dB:25

wow, the 3.2E didn't respond to your Zalman very well...sure it's seated well?

get water cooling or something man, that chip is hot like toyota's summer events.

I dont get why you would hang around an overclocking site if you run stock? Push that bad mofo of a chip!

You're using a heatsink that not sanctioned by Intel?????
For shame....what would Intel think of you Kanavit?
Now go buy a Socket 775 chip (Intel says they're the best thing since sliced bread, and Intel would never steer you wrong right??);)
and? whats the xtreme on this?
Kanavit's extreme in his undying love of supporting Intel's bottom line...

 lol, yeah it was very hard for me to part with the intel stock cooler. It looked very good too, new orb fins and larger copper center. but i knew this fan would generate the same dB levels as my 3.0E intel stock cooler fan at 5400rpm. I had to sacrifice it, was very hard to do. But my Zalman CNPS7000A is doing great!! 43.5c idle @25dB , 2500rpm, compared to the 47.6c on my 3.0E intel stock cooler with 200mhz less!

That buy is such uuummm what can I say.......
You have something called OVERCLOCKING that is not dangerous!!! Volts are dangerous, heat is dangerous, but frequecies are GOOD!!!! The Prescotts CAN run hot, so you cant say as an excuse : They are too hot..... Just say that you are not catching fast enough to understand what is overclocking...

I got it from the computer place near my house. their webpage is www.tcponline.com. The prices are ridiculously high, but cheaper than compusa for some parts. their webpage is not updated daily, so the prices could be off. but i dont have a credit card, so i really have very little choices.
