Is there any pictures of the interior of these evaporators?
Just curious, because I´ve never seen one =)
Also, it`s illegal (in Europe) to "clonate" one for personal use?
Bye!
prommy looks like a hedgehog.
about 5x7 struts sticking up into a chamber from the base.

Don't know about the Vapochill one. I would imagine it is something very easy to machine (or mould?).
You can make yourself one really easily by grinding away at a 2"x2"x1.5" copper block a 'grid' formation, using a 0.8" diamond samata blade, probably available at hardware stores. In england you can pick them up from builder's merchants (where you can buy door frames, sand, concrete etcetera).
In Europe it would depend if it is patented or not. If asetek use a simple design they will probably not patent it. I do not think ChipCon (nventiv) patented their design.
Bowman I believe did a repair on someone's Prometeia at www.xtremesystems.org while regassing to a better gas (I forget the details). That's where I picked up on the Prommy's evap design.
IMHO teh prommy evap is crude. Perhaps anyone doing (or has done) a cap tube repair on a Vapo could post their pics while doing so?
