Just did some testing with my new POV TI4200 today. Ended up at 16156 marks :). Card did about 300/730 or something like that stock. Nice mem but crappy core... With 1,9/3,07V the card did 333/769 :). Golden memory but the core is still not the best one :/.
I couldnt max out my CPU because of this (ECS...) IT7-MAX2... 226MHz mem is max... 228 can bench 3dmark for a while but never do the whole thing. 230 will not boot. No mather what bios settings I use 226 is max. The north bridge is still aircooled but I dont think it will mather that much. I removed the fan from it and got the same results. So 226MHz at 2-6-2-3 enhanced is what I can run all day and also the max I can run for benchmarks.... Gives me about 3500/3500 in sandra.
Im sure my CPU (B0 2,53) can do athleast 3,3GHz so any suggestions on how to get that at 4/3 would be greatly appreciated :).
Gonna try some more benching in a while.. and do the full test. Need to clean up my HDD and OS first tho. Lots of services slowing down the OS.
Anyway heres a compare link http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4813636

Yeah that's great man. I want to have your ti 4200, too. Perhaps more VDimm for your ram or a burn in will help you.

It will indeed be a difficult task ;). To be honest Im not really sure what to do next with this setup. Sure OS tweaking can do some.. But I doubt it will be any big numbers. I got a defragged hdd.. max prio on the 3dmark service and so on. The most obvious things are done.

I benched with a ambient temp around 10C, comp on a table by my window ;). Was like 2C outside I think :D. Should move it all out the window but its hard to do since I live in a student room on the second floor ;).

One thing that would beat your current score is better cooling of the core. Feels a bit like cheating though since most people run it air cooled. Water/pelt on it and radiator outside the window should give me athleast 350-360 I think ;).

Not sure about the voltages either. More than 1,9V core gives me nothing but artifacts at these temps. The memory however at 3,07.. Im sure it can do even better at higher voltage. Im just not sure how much it can take.. Anybody got and suggestions on that? If 3,2V is safe Ill bump it there ;). It feels kinda "dangerous" tho.. dont want this fine card to die on me ;).

Wooohoo! 16375 marks and currently no 1 ti4200 at the orb :). Dont think I will remain no1 for that long but Im still very happy with this score ;) :D. Card at 333/773... Got my IT7 working and ran at 173MHz, mem at 2-6-2-3 enhanced :).

Wow! Umm 773... hehe don't think I'll be hitting that any time soon. 733 is now my max... and I don't think I will get it any higher :(

it was just for safety.. i don't have the card in my hands :D

have you benched this 4200 on the KX7?

Hognert
10-24-2002, 01:24 AM
I used 3,07V for the memory. Ohmage somewhere around 0,6kOHm I believe. Something similar for the core 0,5-0,6kOHm. Do _not_ trust me on this though. Start with higher values! I only have the card modded while benching thats why I cant give you exact numbers now.

Havent benched with my KX7 yet. Will give it a spin this weekend :). Think my 1600+ can do something like 2030MHz.. not really sure about the Corsair. 10*203 max timings would be nice :D ;). But I think 200MHz FSB is a more realistic goal ;).

I think you'll get 15.3-15.4K with XP @ 2030 and card @ 333/775.

Here's my score with XP1600+ @ 10x202 (fast, max timing), Ti4600 @ 330/760 :

http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4658559 = 15186 pts.
