I am putting together a 754 system with a 3200+ CH. My goal is a quiet system that I can do some air-cooled overclocking with.

I am going to buy the Sonata case which comes with the quiet 380W Antec supply. But it only has 18A on the 12V rail. So is that good enough?

If not, how many 12V amps would be reasonable?

I know that the Fortron is highly recommended but it is not quiet and neither are the OCZ psus. The Tagan 480W seems to be getting good reviews as a powerful but silent psu. Also, Seasonic has a 460W reasonable 12V amps and is silent. Most of the other "silent" psus are lacking in 12V amps. Any comments on these two psus or other recommendations?

I'd go for the Tagan.
I have the 380W version and it's solid as a rock. Very stable lines and whisper quiet.

i heard 20amps somewhere, +12v isn't as important as +3.3v and+5v when your overclocking though.
The tagan is the best psu.

Thats my 20p anyway

The Truepower by Thermalright is a great choice. It's a 420watt PSU
