i would say,

pressurise it with some gas (nitrogen, propane if you do not have anything else)

When the system is off, the pressure is enough to blow boubles i recon.

Pressurize with Nitrogen to 250psi and make a solution of 10-1 water to dish soap. Use a large swab to coat all the joints. The smaller the leak, the larger the bubbles. A large leak will foam. You may have to sit and watch each joint for 10 minutes or so.

Do any one you use any sealant compound on your mechanical fittings? Oil works well... but not at low temperatures.

I've been using "Nylog" for years. Its a liquid nylon mixture. Looks like snot and is gooie but stays gooie. So it won't harden up like some other sealants do. Its also safe to get into the system.

(Note) on a flare its the copper and brass seat that make the seal not the threads.

PC Ice.. You should build those braise joints up around multi piping like that. This will solve your micro leak issues. Basically go over them twice. Once to get alloy into the outer pipe.. then again to get alloy around the inner and outer pipes.

where I work we have cannisters (like those of deodorant or spray paint) that spray sort of smoke/fog. They are used to find gas leaks in hydraulik systems. But the discription states that it can also be used for freon. Maybe you can find something simmilair.

I'm afraid I only know a dutch supplier.

Thanks alot kayle  I found a leak in one of my flare fittings.... I also make a kink in the copper suction line but I made it into a square instead of it being flat. I hope this is the last leak......
