Figured I'd run this new KD7-Raid thru it's paces at 3DMark... compared to the Epox 8K5A3+ at it's best, the Abit kicks ass...
Best Score outta the Epox was 11228... Ti4200 maxed, ram timings maxed, cpu maxed. The Abit however with just the Ti4200 maxed (higher than the Epox could get it to go) and ram timings maxed is getting me much nicer scores... Everything is cooled with straight old water.

Not quite nice enough tho... but need to vmod. Can't decide if it's worth it really on this card... may as well move this one on and aim for getting a Radeon soon...

Anyways, I figure the CPU and RAM can be pushed a bit higher on FSB... should run thru at 200 but that's for another day...

Marci...I think you get really ööööty scores with your old epox board...

I get more points with a SDRAM board and a 150Mhz lower cpu clock?!

I think you have done something seriously wrong with that epox..

I think I can get about 12500 - 13000 with my epox board with only 1850Mhz. You get 11000 with 2000Mhz...that doesn't sound right!

With your KD7...what are you memoryscores on 200Mhz FSB and agressive settings?

That may be why m8.... I've only pushed Ram on Ti4200 to 576... any higher and drivers start to freezeframe and score goes down thru the floor.... with the Epox the Ti4200 ram would start freezeframing around 550. Like I said... need to vmod the card as I think it has fairly naff ram on it...

That is fixed with the 2909 bios...Much better memscores, maybe not as good as the Abit scores, but it will be close...have you tryed that bios yet?

Hmmmm interesting....what do you call freezeframe? Cause I think that I know what you mean. I never had that with my old Abit KT7a...but I do have it with the epox..

With Det40.xx drivers where instead of 3DMark locking up, it just freezes on one frame for a few secs, then jumps to another as tho doing a slide show of stills.... Tested it out with 29.xx and 30.xx drivers and at the point where this started to happen on the 40.xx drivers all the others just locked and required a reset. Figured that highlighted the ram being at it's peak... it does it when either the gpu is too high or the ram is too high. GPU started it at 315 so I wound it back to 313 and all fine. Pushed ram up another 75Mhz or so until it started hapening again. Wound it back 5Mhz and all fine. Voltmods req'd to push it any further...

Cooled with 172w Pelt and vmodded...

There's no point comparing my score to a vmodded ti4200 with pelts on...

And can't use 2909 Bios as I no longer have the Epox board in my posession...
