Well 2cpu will most likely pass us sometime this weekend. Not surprising seeing as they have 138 active folders to our 77 active. :mad:

on monday, we will have 16 workstations with dual 2ghz xeons in em. (school) wrote a little proggy that hides the console too!

The proggie Hideit will hide the console version? I know cuz thats what I use... You mean the graphical version? Cuz to my knowledge thats the one that most cant seem to hide.

i wrote the prog at school, so u guys will have to wait (in my c++ folder and the damn server always crashes). all it does is run fah as a system task. (its the console version) i would have more workstations but the others are freaking slow (233 pII's)

Noskillz make sure you set your Intel rigs up to run gromacs only.

Hey DD, I did as you said with the Intel folders, but I've still got one question. After I set it up, in advanced porperties, was I supposed to check G@H, or no pref???

Tweaked! in advanced properties you only have to change the machine ID if needed. Everything else you don,t have to change. It automatically runs gromacs if you have the shortcut.:D

Whats Gromacs .. ive got a few intel machines runing .. but i have the default install

Gromacs are a diff type protein, that the Intel rigs run faster then the amd rigs. Which of course is just the opposite of the fah proteins. If you are running intels read the thread in the link any questions just ask.:)link (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?threadid=3574)

May I add that P4s run gromacs faster with WINXP than WIN98 or ME, by about 10%.:)
