If anyone has a pair of those sticks please run any diagnostic program ( such as everest home edition ) and take a look at the ratings and timings of the memory...
Mine comes up with the following
2-2-2-5 at DDR266
3-4-4-8 at DDR400
so its only rated CAS3 at 200fsb??
i am currently running it at 2.8V in my Abit AI7
at 214FSB 1:1 at 2-3-3-5 Turbo timings and its
doing reasonably, but i expected more

I have this ram .... I'm currently running it at ddr400 with SPD timmings and cpu-z says the timmings are 2.5-3-3-6
It doesn't really matter what it is rated for because all performance ddr (ddr400+) is overclocked chips even at stock settings
Adata rate it at 3-4-4-8 for ddr500 speeds which is probably where everest is getting the info from ... these system info progs don't really understand spd timmings for over ddr400 because ddr is the top official JEDEC ram speed

What are you talking about? Are you kidding? Of course programs can recognize SPD timings at over DDR 400 speeds.
To poster, A-data DDR 500 has hynix D-43 chips. These are known not to respond to well to voltage and not being able to keep the latencies down at higher speeds. There is a reason for the BH-5/EB craze that influences these halls.

I had 2 adata Vitesta 500 before. And they did about 466mhz with 2-3-3-11 or something. They didn't like voltage as much as I thought. Anyhow if you want good timings then you should have taken some other memory. Mine simply refused 2-2-2-6 at any speed i think.
i have this memory also. i got 2x256 pc4000 and i can run 275 1:1 on my ic7. this stuff will not run any lower timmings then the 8,4,4,3 timmings they defualt to at any speeds. they work good for me on my intel but i dont think ill be tryin them on my amd anytime soon...
