I was thinking of making a evap that would have 2 copper sheets that went over the ram like heat spreaders. Would I gain like 50MHz, or would it only be like 2MHz? Someone must have tried this already.

im not sure exactly how much you will gain. However I saw someone on the forums that made a water block for his memory and used chilled water. So maybe he will stop by this thread (sorry i dont remember who it was). I would guess it would be decent but not a huge speed increase, like 15mhz maybe.

I remember a forum thread, not here. But he made a memory waterblock and tied it into his chiiller loop and got some more out of it. Probably the same as Jrocket saw. 15mhz is what i remember but that was on memory that was maxed out and not killer voltage, so i guess the cold helped.
My ocz 4200's im using in my sig rig runs 285 1:1 with the little vdimm available on my MSI board 2.8v actual. I've had them to 305fsb 1:1 in my old intel setup. I'd love to get the 20more mhz out of it!!!!
Cooling the RAM does help, but not 50MHz i reckon.
I remember benching in a 4C ambient (case outside :D ) my RAM did a few MHz more with slightly less voltage.
Also, last time i did a bench with a ti4200 with a maze4 and chilled water/antifreeze, it helped to cool down the entire card and it allowed me to clock the mem some 5 Mhz further, artifactfree.
A good fan will be much easier and works well i guess. ;)
