Hi guys,
2 weeks ago I was playing with a bastard 2.4a Prescott that worked fine for 2 day in my Abit Ic7 board.
The last time the system worked it started to make some funny smell, I've disconneted the system and noticed that a mosfet near the AGP was burned. Went to RMA the board to abit, but my store says that the RMA will be refused by the supplyer because it allready refused boards on that condition.
I have a question, sending the board directly to Abit could help me to get a new one?
I didin't do anything strange, not even oced the bastard a bit.
I think the board wasn't ready to support so much watts the cpu delivered, even with the latest bios. :(
I need a help from some one from abit or anyone that changed a dead mosfet with a new one on this board.
Thanks for the help, I'm trying not to be stick to a board that costed me around 200$ and now is dead next to me! :(
Appreciated,
Jorge Lopes
