FUBAR,
Welcome to Xtreme :)
Never owned a Ti200 but those are nice cards...nice score! :D

My Ti200 score is in my sig. Nice going. Wish I still had my card, I'm sure I could hit 11k if I still did. It ran 279/594 with no vmods.

Nice score man! :D
Anything above 10k with a GF3 based card is impressive.

Last I checked, I had 8k Something. But I've never pushed it very hard.

Thanks for the welcome all...this is all with stock cooling. What's the best chipset cooler for these? Thanks again
I've found that cheaper CPU coolers make the best GPU coolers as far as air-cooling goes :)
My G4 is nice and cool right now w/ a SVC GC68 80MM HSF on it :D

Ya, I would agree with [N8] on this one... Had an Alpha PAL6035 (with the feet removed of course) on my GF3! :)

I have a blorb on mine using AS2. It never gets hot, so I never used a differant hsf on it.

Used a Crorb on mine.

I remember seeing someone that took off all the coating from his CrOrb...it was all copper. Kinda cool looking. I wonder if the coating does anything towards cooling...

Dunno if taking all the copper off helps, but I lapped mine and used AS2 and I was able to push the core 14 more MHz over the stock cooler.

I lapped mine as well. I was suprised at how concave it was.

yeah, I know the BlOrb is notorious for being for boing concave...but I thought the CrOrb was usually good. I'll probably end up getting a CrOrb and lapping it. SPQQKY, did you lap the core also? I heard that works sometimes...

Well, my score is 10676...
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4625616
It's a XP1600+ running at 1835 MHz, but nevermind the 181 MHz FSB, this was actually made at 9x204, max timings...
It's on a ABIT KX7, and the video is handled by a Gainward TI200...
It runs at 268/585 at most of the tests (usually got to lower it for dragothic high and car chase high)...
But i should say : Congratulations... Going above 10k with a TI200 is not that easy...

Yeah that's some sweet stuff. I have a gainward ti450 which I think I might need to test out and see what it' hit today.

havn't tried it lately, must be over 12k capable now, with current system clocks.
considered vmodding it a while ago.:D

Bad evening for me, got 13200 on the gf3 ti200 with Pelt and chilled water, 200 below my P4 score :(
And I missed top spot with the MX440 by 80 points, 11 870. Maybe when I swap out for this Gigabyte it will be better.

bad evening? you got an unbelievable mx440 score, did you get those clocks higher? how high? and what happened to your ti200 score? bad run?

I love it when old threads are reborn.
11.6k (http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7183507)
This could be better yet if it weren't for the poor timings the TwinMos could handle. Stupid CH-5 chips. Maybe I'll throw the card in one more time to see if I can hit 12k.

Thanks for the kind words.
Yeah it's a bad evening when you stay up to 3am with the windows wide open, it's so cold in the room ( <5C ) that your arms are shivering and things are almost there and then just go down hill. Then you get up for work at 5.30am. These phase change cascade guys -110C all bench with hawaiian shirts on and shorts while fanning themselves at 30C .. easy life :) LOL
I volt modded the MX440 .. went from 400/685 to 400/740. Obviously the vcore mod failed. I'm getting good advice from more experienced people than I on the volt mods, but Gainwards ISL components are whacky and i don't want to bug those guys too much. I keep managing to volt mod the memory ( FX 5700U and MX440 ) but not the core ( only the 5600U ) . It's all a bit hit and miss. I can do the mod Ok mechanically but there always seems to be multiple choices on where to put it and i am guestimating. Also Gainward seem to forget to put the nipples on the cap rears for me to take a volt reading, so I do the runs "blind" and just adjust till I get an improvment or not.
If I can get the MX440 core up then I'll be laughing, but there are two FB pins on that ISL component so I have to do it double blind which is difficult.
The ti200 core will no longer do 270 so that is a handicap . That card yet has to have the pleasure of my volt modding skills.
I've decided to give it a rest for the moment and swap over from the Abit KV8 to a Gigabyte K8N board. I actually have been given the correct VDIMM volt mod for that from an expert, so that one shoul go OK. This Abit has lost the PS2 keyboard and the USB one only works 50% of the time, too much hassle. Also clockgen does not work well with the multiplier adjustments for some reason.
I shall bloody get that MX440 record though, 12k is the aim.
I have been rambling sorry, needed to get it out of my system ;)

Andy

oooooooh yes 12k shall be yours. V modding isnt always easy. Maybe I could learn from you too. I have a ti500 and tried the v mod but it didnt help the 265MHz core oc. I could have sworn I only needed 1 resistor and I soldiered it in the right place. Could a 1K Ohm be too high or does the soldier have to be connected more fully instead of just a bit? I probably will do the vmem mod for the ti500 later on, that one takes 2 resistors. I am at 265/600 unmodded so far but tweakmonster sinks to the ram. do ramsinks really work? That guy says those sinks are the reason the ram does 600MHz! My aim is to break 13k on a ti500. my mx440 does 330/550 no mods which im not complaining but im gonna need like 400/650 clocks and my nf7-s to break 10k marks on that. How hard is an mx440 v mod? I believe its better if I find one that can do at least 380/650 before mods so I can take it up from there and hope for 11k on an mx440 :D

Before I forget is it me or does the woman for your avatar have a belly button piercing through her dress ?
I think there is a GF3 volt mod on vr-zone but i am not sure for what version. You shouldn't need too much solder, but as I am no expert you need to ask someone on the volt mod thread. In fact there should be a sticky on how to solder in my opinion, would be helpful. I'm self taught and my teacher is poor value for money ;) Luckily other people have given me pointers.
I think RAM speed is mainly down to voltage and luck to be honest, though I do blow lots of air across my motherboard and keep my room cool in winter. I'd rather have bare RAM at 8C than RAMsinks on RAM at 18C.
My Gainward had two FB pins on the ISL IC and so I assume one is for RAM and one for gpu, it did seem that the voltages were 1.5 and 2.5v or so so that would seem logical. I volt modded them both but only my memory speed increased. User error no doubt.
I think with a bit of luck that you should be able to add 50-100Mhz on volt mod for the MX440, and 50-75 for the RAM , so it would seem better to start off from something with 380/650.
If you are getting another MX440 to start off from higher then practice with the old MX440 first on the modding.

I remember getting 11500~ on my GF3 Ti200, it needed both VGPU and VRAM mods to get to 250/530. Without it only did 220/480 :(
Think this was with my Epox 8RDA+, 200MHz FSB, 6,2,2,2 timings and a 1700+ at 2.2GHz.

MY TI200 does 265 mhz core with a barton 2500 in a box cooler and tomorrow im going to do some hardcore modding and benching! its going to be lapped and vmodded

What exactly helps to get your core clocks any higher?(except chilled water and pelt :)) Seems like Vmodding doesn't.(Not on my first Ti200 neither on my current). I'm even thinking of removing the Vmod, since i only get higher temps. Would lapping do the trick?

v modding didnt help my ti500 and im pretty sure I did it right. should I use a lower than 1k ohm resistor?

I had around 10.5-11K depending on my CPU speed.
My ti 200 would only go to 220/285 with artifacts.

The GPU volt-mod worked for me. It took me from 240Mhz to 260Mhz.
