does this work? My nf7s was fried, so i would like just to get a a64 board with a sil3114a or whatever. Like if i just plugged it in it would work?

If its the same raid controller I believe it would still see your stripe but since the chipset is totally differenet ya might have to format the c drive and reinstall windows on it. Though i'd try booting windows first to make sure.

Only way to arrange a seemless transition is to get a Sil3112 PCI raid card, and use that to first install the stripe on the new board. Then, once booted and back in Windows, you enable the 3114, load drivers, then simply move the sata1 and sata2 connectors over..... thats how I did the transfer from NF7 to DFI Inf.

hmm, if i replaced my nf7s with a an7. they both use the same sil3112, would it be as easy as plugging it in?

Yes.. But since there totally different chpisets, windows wont load. Same as above. you'll have to format the c drive and install windows again. But you wont lose the other data off the other drive letters if you have any.
