Well I finally bit the bullet! I purchased one of these video cards. It took me 15 minutes just to push the order submit button. :)

I had a $50 mail in rebate, and got the card for $153+ shipping. So I think that's a pretty damn good deal. Considering I use a G2 MX. I checked Best Buy and they had them for $199.

I know what you mean. Put the mouse on submit and just think about it for a minute...:D That's pretty sweet though.

In general, I have noticed VisionTek videocards clock pretty well. I have my vid card at 230/500 which is pretty close to Ti500 specifications but fRoStY who has a Ti500 that does 275/600. :( I need one of those! :D

Will I see better frame rate and performance? My G2 clocks at 175/183. :rolleyes:

Which one, the G2? I've had it up to 205/200. That was the highest I ever tried. (no fan)

LOL! Here is the new edition of 3D MARK 2001SE I ran with the current card. Not to bad with 1024x768x32--175/183

I'm trying to kill an Nvida 16meg. It doesn't have a fan, but I put a bigger hsf on it with arctic silver and the case fan on the side is blowing on it, but I can't get it get very hot...
Guess I did too good a job on my planning in the begining.:rolleyes:

I got the card to the max. 220/500 :) (default is 140/400)

220/500 is the default speed for the Ti500. Still have some more tweaking to do. I might try some bios editing to get more.

My BEST video card is an ancient RivaTNT2 w32 on.

Needless to say, I seriouslly need to upgrade it.. ao whatta yea say? Wanna sell that G2 MX ???:D :D :D :D :D :rolleyes:
