I have recently connected up my Matrix Orbital MX220 LCD unit through USB, but even since, it has randomly rebooted. This was overclocked quite a bit, so I lowered my overclock to stock and still does it. I have no heat problems. So I unhooked it from the USB, now it doesn't happen. Any ideas? Bad drivers? USB drawing too much power? I dont have a clue, any ideas?

USB is finicky...do you have your system set to automatically reboot when you have a BSOD? If so you may just be getting STOP errors in the USB HID and seeing an instantaneous reboot.

The following is an excerpt from a PDF sheet on USB standards.
I'm not certain this is causing your problem however I do know I was using USB powered Smart Card devices some time ago and it was causing the exact same problem you describe, my solution was to wire an external PSU to the Smart card terminal. Solved all my problems, and was fairly simple to do. You may want to try and power your LCD display externally and see if this solves your issues....
Unfortunately, the USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 protocols limit bus supplied power to 2.5 Watts (0.5A @ +5V) per port. For low power devices such as a keyboard or mouse, this is more than enough power. The USB standard also defines support for higher current devices up to 500 mA, but the total power limit is still 2.5 Watts. For higher power devices such as printers or displays, standard USB’s power limit is often insufficient, requiring such peripherals to use an external power supply.

Hmm, in the manual, it says you can power it from a floppy cable and use USB as data transfer. Would that solve my problems?
