only 250mhz? memory limited? nice score...
those prescotts sure oc nicely with ln2

intel should send out a copper tube with each prescott instead of the retail hsf ^^

I really don't see why these dry ice/LN02 runs are so hyped, especially if it's only SuperPI. It CAN'T be an everyday computer unless you have an unlimited supply of the stuff, so what's the point?

and race cars can't be driven on the street, too. This is a 21 minute LONG benchmark :D That's some decent stability...

Because it isn't an everyday cooling solution doesn't make it any less impressive to me.

We're talking Xtreme overclocking, if that's long enough to run a bench, it's definately good enough for me.

Do you run your pc @ max settings 24/7?

great work!

Why not just "cut out the middle man" and stick a giant liquid N2 making machine on your CPU? Heck, why stop there...liquid helium's even better (colder).

there's probably a limit somewhere, where cold temps cause the CPU to stop functioning... in fact, I'm not even sure if the LN2 guys allow their base to hit -190C before they fire up their rig. From what I understand, they're MAINTAINING about -120C or so at the base temp....

but 5.2ghz is a LOT, i don't think hes memory limited... :D

saaya

i think he is :D

if its stable enough to stress it for 20minutes+ at 5.2 then its stable enough to stress it for 5 minutes at 5.3 or higher, probably more.

Race cars are meant to entertain people. How does watching superPi runs entertain?

Do you guys somehow get off to LN02 bubbling over a cold CPU? :p:

I get more pleasure from kicking people's asses in online games

police overclock is very funny and when you can reach an objective, like the world record, you're very happy for all the work you did. try extreme coolings and you will understand how overclock ownz online gaming :)
all it's imo obviously

No, I enjoy racing games, it entertains me. I happen to be good at it, so what's the problem? Sometimes I lose, sometimes I win. Who are you to criticize, since basically EVERYONE on this board is a gamer, and everyone LIKES to win. Would you keep playing a game if you suck at it, and lose 100% of the time??

NO, I don't think so.

i dunno if everyone here is a gamer...i would luv to play games...but i don't have enough time...hehe, but...yeah, im not too hyped up about short term cooling...which is why cascades are so awsome! :D

Yes race cars entertain as would say a 100m sprinter v a marathon runner. But surely that is a side issue - for the person in the race it is not about entertaining but being the best at what they do whether it is endurance or a sprint etc. His system is stable enough to earn the world record in superpi - doesnt matter if he doesnt have his system like that all the time. Maurice Greene doesnt sprint 24/7.

Actually, I played a game for more than 3 years and I really sucked... Anyone who played for at least 1 week would beat me and that didn't stop me from playing.
