I have been running for many months my xp2400 at (2200 200x11). No problems at all. Today I checked cpu-z and seens a big problem, the big drops, unstability in the vcore. The vcore goes up and down. I have taken everything to default voltage, fsb, multi, etc. Check the cpu-z and same problem appear, vcore, jumps, sometimees even reacher 3.2v. Can someone help me, is my power supply (420w german psu very good) or my motherboard.
THanks

.016 is nothing. I'd kill for that stability. I see 0.2v or more fluctuation all the time. Of course I use MBM reading every 1sec for days at a time. As long as it's stable I say don't worry about it.

If it's not a typo that you say it's reaching 3.2vcore... the board's reading wrong. 3.2vcore = cooked chip. No passing go. No collecting $200.

So its normal for these unstabilities, any mods to make it stable. System seems very unstable, altaught sei runs 24/7 and doesnt crash.

I mean the system runs very choppy. I am very disapointed with Asus, their boards suck lately. Theres no vmod drop mod for this board.

Why is the vmod dropping and increasing so much, I would like to make it stable, anyways at all.

you can connect the 12 sides of the vcore mosfets and also the vcore output legs of the mosfets i think , and you can add caps to the board.

I see, the board its self is made cheaep. Whats the best board to keep the vcore stable. I was trying to oc my cpu at 230fsb, but no luck, I have been told its because of the vcore unstabilities, anyone else plz suggest.

huh? cheap? the voltage circuicy on the a7n8x rev2.0 was the best of all nf2 boards! lol , dont know if they changed the design, but i doubt it.

mines always within about .02 of where I set.. cant say much about lack of P4 plug and my ram cant go 2-2-2 on this board, though..

1007 Uber bios, btw.

most A7N8X boards dont like going past about 210Mhz fsb without a chipset Vmod. just speaking from experience, the best A7N8X i had was a rev 1.04 and would do 220Mhz fsb stable 24/7 without mods. goes higher now that i have put beter cooling on the northbridge and southbrige and cranked the chipset voltage up a little. Dont worry about the Vcore fluctuations, mine all fluctuate a bit aswell. I may try and solder some more caps onto the board sometime in the future and see if this improves it, but i dont think its anything to worry about really :)
