ok ive done some reading and searching and i cant really find a solid answer on this question. are ram dividers bad? are they worth using if i can get my clock speed up a good deal higher. i have a new 2600m and new forton power supply(thanks for the advice btw) on my way but my current ram isnt to great at overclocking. its 2x 256 corsair xms 3200 in dual channel in a nf7-s. ive tried timeings and diffrent stuff and it just wont go much over 200 fsb with decent timings even at 2.9v. so i assume things are not going to get much better with the 2600m unless my psu helps but i dont know. what will using dividers do to performance and what not. also any tips on increasing the overclock on my ram? also will the l12 mod help me ive seen alot about it but not sure if or which is for me. i am thinking i wont need it because my fsb wont be going to high since my ram is limiting me. which bios will help me with my new parts and ram.

you could just try (12/12.5/13) x 200, for 2.4-2.6ghz.

if you cant get the ram up to speed, you might as well keep it 1:1, and just up the multi.

if you put your ram on a divider, say 3:2, how high can you get your fsb(and proccy itself)?

sorry, dunno about the L12 mod.

Corsair is good stuff you should definetly do the L12 mod. I couldnt get much past 200 either without one.

my only concern is right now is that a l12 mod wouldnt help me any with my current 2500 non moble right? when i get my new psu and new 2600m will the l12 mod help me get over 200 because even now im pretty sure it is my ram thats holding me back with the fsb not my chip sorry if this post doesnt makes any since im kinda new.
