A friend of mine got one and long story short the card is missing some resistors (ain't even gonna get in details about that), and as result he seems to be getting some tearing and such...

Now what I would like to know is if any of you has a MSI/Creative Geforce 3 Ti200 and access to a multimeter so we can install the missing resistors with right values and hopefully turn the card back like it used to be, the resistors in question are these:

Help regarding this is very welcome since the person in question cant really afford a new gfx card...

Thanks in advance

if you find somebody with that card he will have to unsolder the parts first to meassure them.

the creative cards often follow the nvidia design, so try to look for pics of other brand geforce3ti cards, there should be diferent cards from diferent brands with the same layout and the same resistors.

thx for the feedback m8, already looked but so far no luck (reference design resistor information)

cheers anyway

The items you have "circled" are Capacitors.

You could bridge across the pads with solder and the card would function normally most likely..

If you have a spare card sitting around thats no good or ready for the trash just pull off a capacitor that looks similar in size and color to that and you'll be fine if you want to play it "safe".

Really, thats great news then, gonna have to take a look at the "solder fill" approach.

Will report later ;)

thx for the sugestion, hope it stays like it is now tho ;)
