It's sad that a hobby (and a benchmark of all things) can cause people to act in such a manner. It's almost to the point you need evidence to support your unbugged 3dmark score (I smell DV cam + mpg video attachments).

As I'm fairly new here, take this with a grain of salt, but DJ came here to do nothing more than start flaming away at some of our benchers. That in itself warrants no respect from myself, nor most of this forum.

Personally, I'd love to see more people run full 3dmark tests to prove stability, rather than just the ones that count for points. I haven't checked the ORB lately, but I believe majormav is still #1 in that respect.

Some of us are glad to resign to the shadows and do our part folding (till the prometeia shows up, ha! :D ). Much better than daytime soaps...because you can't predict what'll happen next (cough crazy-ass macci and his p4/ti4200 :) )

I have no comment concerning the DJ benchmarking foolishness. I would like to comment to Noskillz on pulling his folding machines.

We would hate to lose those machines for sure...however, I for one was not aware of the terms and conditions that were attached to your offer. Perhaps you should post a list here of all of your friends (should not take too long) so that we can avoid saying anything to them that does not meet with your approval? We could submit our communications with the people on this list to you first so that you could censor or edit them? I was not aware that accepting your seemingly generous offer to help in the research for a cure for these illnesses and help the Xtreme Folding Team at the same time involved giving up our consitutional rights to free speech. You should have made that clear from the begining. That way, I am sure your offer would have been rejected and thus saved us all this juvenile display.;)

Leave the flags in unless you have trouble getting work. This way you will get gromacs as soon as they are availabloe again.

JC I estimate I have 15 192s unaccounted for. Stanford and Vijay have promised to enter the missing WUs manually in 'a day or two' but don't count on it.:mad: And to make things worse, the stats server appears to be down again.

2CPU have over 238 members and most will be x2.so overtaking us is understandabe but not exscusable,we need our team mates to leave their folders on 24/7.(PLEASE).

Unfortunetly, the bottom 1/2 of our team hasn't put any work out... I did a quick count yesterday and over 115 people had no units in a weeks time... but as you said, most of our guys are running duals and we do have nearly 600 CPU's going.. I myself have 6 duals, 2 dual Xeons with hyperthreading running 4 sessions each and and one quad box... (besides a mound of uni boxes)

Congrats on breaking the 100K mark! It's a worthy goal in F@H!

In that case,ill have to do some overclocking,all through the summer i had to wind my pc down,my chiller heated my kitchen to much,its now cooling 3 pc,and my kitchen is now 23c after chiller has run for 5 min, it was 32c,i expect to get about 700mhz.moving cpu round aswell.:D :D :D :D

If you were to put 133mhz on 1800mhz,making it 1933mhz,youll get at least 1 sec per frame more.

I just did the winter overclock thing. One of my folding rigs is an aircooled athlonxp2000+. I was maxing out around 1830mhz. So then I got the idea to setup Remote Desktop (aka terminal services) and put the pc out on my back porch. I did all that yesterday... Now the box is running at 1910mhz (prime95 stable at 1925). Case temp is 17c and cpu temp is 39c. And the best part is, I can manage the box remotely so there is no need for me to go outside and check on it anymore.

But they will do 1860 in Some cheap epox kt333 boards i have just laying around.

Im about to put my rigs on the back porch too for the winter. I connect through them now through remote desktop.

well, thanks to overfoldix i just added a k6-2 533 to the mix(not much, but hey, it's strictly folding, no more, no less :D).... have my main sys. working 95% of the time(other 5 i'm either rebooting to/from windows, or watching movies)... and should have the other sys in my sig. up and running before Christmas... i'm also gonna try to talk a friend of mine with a p3 1ghz into folding, but his sys is hardly ever on, but hey, it's worth a shot :D.... off i go, and happy folding to all :)

I just checked statsman.org and we're almost 100 points ahead of 2cpu for today's output (we have 4154.75, they have 4068.29). We were ahead on the previous update as well, I checked it earlier today. We are only 150 points behind on the weekly score.

But then again the stats servers have been all screwy lately (showing me at 740 points one time and later at 705 for instance) so I don't totally trust the results.

Girlfriend keeps nagging me for a b-day and x-mas present...trying to decide which I love more :D

For two days now I've put out more than 100 points/day!! And one of my xp2000's was down all day (it crashed right after I left for work, I tried bumping it from 1920 to 1935).

I just got my friend to fold under my name. So we got another ~1900mhz going on our team, he has an xp2200.

I've got one at home ready to roll when I get my home LAN back up n running, and the sooner you send me those parts the better cos should have enough with that lot and what I have here to add at least another 3... Christmas post round here becomes a nightmare from around 17th December onwards, so if you leave it past then to post em can't guarantee I'll get em til the New Year :(

Here's one fer ppl to try... if u work for a company that's going to be left unattended over christmas, get all the machines folding temporarily, and be sure you're the first one back after Christmas and stop em all before neone notices! (or do it the legit way and get permission!!)

1: get a couple quieter fans.
2: get a defogger repair kit so I can use both CPUs.
3: get some more cat5 cable so I don't have to do the cable dance twice a day.

Should be up and running either this weekend or sometime next week.

They might be in a situation like I am. I've been fooling around with this dually all day trying to get it setup right and then realized that I forgot some simple things like cat5, etc... so I haven't been able to crank out a WU yet today.
Don't take it so hard on em...maybe they're just upgrading like I am :D

We would never do that to any team member. People on this team, and madshrimps fold by choice not by demand. If a member has a slow pc or is having problems turning out wu,s the last thing we would do is tell them that is unaccetable.

he should be upgrading to something around 2gigs after christmas. he is also letting me use a video card of his so i can get my 300a @ 464 running again.

We must be gaining on 2 cpu, i've noticed the pass point moved up about a day on statsman and 2000 more work units than them for the week.

I just added the 3 bottom rigs today,Cheap nforce asus boards, no OC features. But every bit helps and all running beta now, new switch hooked to my router,no cable dance anymore. Full speed ahead finally.

Just trying to keep SHORTCIRCUIT off my back!!! He's flying!!!! hehe. Doubt if i can though. Guess i'll see.
