"Solder wick" from radio shack, it looks like copper braid

You lay the wick over the spot where you want to suck up the solder and then you touch the soldering pencil to the wick to get the solder molten. The wick will do the rest.

Do both side and the gently poke at it with the soldering pencil. It should come loose easy.

Here (http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F011%5F009%5F007%5F004&product%5Fid=64%2D2090) is what FUGGER is talking about. The method he described is the easiest, cleanest, fastest...:lol:...one. At least for me it is.:)

Yeh...I would certainly use the desolder braid as I lost my only modded board (Max3) trying to take that transistor off with just plain ole sodler iron heat.

OK but you see the red wire it is kinda in the way of the MC 50 so where should i put the second trimmer?

maybe next to the mosfet and the winbond?

I cant tell...but has the right solder pad of the transistor been removed??

If so....you will get no joy when firing it up. It will post, but nothing after that.

Is it needed to use all 3 legs of the Vdimm VR in this case btw??

@Chocobo,

C'mon, bro. What's up with that?

You pull a move like that again and you are in trouble. I suggest you to read the Forum Policy, if you have not done yet. If you did, read it again, then.
