are these resistors OK to use in droop and vdimm mod @ my P4C800?

They would work, however, those are about the worse VR's you could get, they are quite fragile, extremely touchy (very poor adjustment), and generally just a PITA.... I would toss them in a garbage can, and either get some decent quality Cermet type, or use fixed resistors if you know the value.

I couldnt find the normal ones that people seems to use :/ but they work don't they ??

ive measured the resistance and it seems to work properly. *-* anything spec I should think about when using these resistors ??

That design VR has been around for 30+ years, the reason I would avoid them is mainly because of how fragile they are. I've had much hands on experience with them, the main problem is adjustment, I've had some fail just by giving them a turn, and when they fail they typically are in one extreme state or the other, completely open, or completely closed, thats a considerable risk to some potentially expensive hardware...

Bottom line, yes they will work, if your carefully, and they aren't of the typical low quality variety you may have no problems. Just be aware of the potential for failure...

I might also add, make sure not to adjust to the mechanical extremes, most of them will create a dead short at full CW or CCW positions..

hmm.. you think these are better? they seems to be safer to use because of the safer adjustment, but I only got 25K's of this sort! and I should use a 50K VR @ 28K to the droop mod right ?

The small plastic cap makes very little difference, up to you, I'm not going to say use either one, if it were me I would not mod it until I had the proper parts..

Very true, but considering the cost of your computer hardware its a small investment;)
