I'm thinking of going to Phase change instead of water chilling, I just want to know is this all you have to do to make a direct die setup: Change the evaporator on the AC machine with a block that can be mounted on the motherboard? In other words, the block becomes the evap?
You advice is highly appreciated.

pretty much. If you want it quick and easy, just grab a Baker Block and braze it onto the ac after you've put on the appropriate length/dia of cap tube.

Couldn't you just keep the heat load as it is, and use the cap tube?

No. You are changing some pretty big variables and the stock cap tube on a window ac is way off for what you would be using it for. You can use it...but your system wouldn't be performing anywhere near its potential.

@xtremist
