I'm getting about -16C Idle and about 2C load. My P4 is at 1.75v (crappy chip). Also, what kind of temps could I expect from an R404/R507 charge?

Isint 1.75V a bit dangerous? You'd get like better temps? :p: -50C evap? I'm not sure.

Not that dangerous. Besides, if it dies I'll replace it.

1.75v voltage is safe. Yep temps seem right :)

Thanks for the confirmation. A Chilly1 regassing sounds really tempting for the near future.

Got the same temps before regassing, with my abit ic7 max 3 a mach1 and a intel 3.0c also at 1.75v..
regassing with r404a gives me about 10-15C

How much did it improve your overclock?

Yeah, similar for me :toast:
Running P4 3.2 @ 4.0 1.7V - temp in MBM is -18 under 100% load. Prior to my 404 mod the same setup was running at around -3

How much voltage is too much voltage?
Also, I've been getting these weird, sporadic shutdowns. It's like somebody pulled the plug on the pc. I would have thought it was condensation, but it happened once before I got the mach I. I figure it's a short from all the case mods I did sloppily in a rush.

Maybe its a short but I doubt it would just happen after running for an hour or more...

Actually it didn’t improve my overclock, but the cpu was really crappy. So I sold it:D
Now I got this 3.2 EE ES, stable at 4305 1.8vcore ( EE loves vcore:p) and its never going under -10.
The temperature only fall a very few degrees from idle to load, because of the perfect balance of the amount of gas.

with r404..u could get around 5-10 degrees lower..and another 5-10 with r507, i think that's around wat most people get
