OK I never done a Vmod before or sodered anything so I need some help.
I plan on doing a Vcore mod on my K8N PRO. I'm looking to take my 3000+ all the way to 2.8-3.0GHz with about 1.95v and I have good Cooling with a Water Chiller so temps won't be too much of a problem. I already have the 100K ohm Vr and I know where to connect it, but I'm not sure which sodering iorn I need or what kind of wire I need to use. <img src="http://discuss.futuremark.com/images/forum/icons/blush.gif">
Also what kind of Flux should I use? Can I use a hot gule gun to cover the soder points or is something else better?

Help will be greatly appreciated :D

i always use a 25 watt iron,

try to find a 20 or maybe 15 watt iron

i use wires from an old PSU ( floppy power cables ) they are thiny, try to use some wires as thin as possible,

i always use solder with flux integrated

and yes you can use an hot glue gun to cover your vcmods, or use silicone

edit: typo
