I just got a new Mach I. I installed it according to the manual's instructions. I turned the unit on connected to the PC and left it on with the PC off for an hour. When I went to check the unit, I saw water on the back of the motherboard and around the evaporator on the front. What am I doing wrong? I followed the instructions exactly.

I did not have the heater on because the PC was off. I can hook the heater up to my secondary psu and try again, would that help?

Also, how long should I give the motherboard to dry off before I try again? How long should I let the cooling unit sit before removing the evap head from the unit?

First of all - why would you let your MachII run for an hour without the pc on?

Second of all - if you hooked it up according to manufactor instructions, the pc should have come on when the MachII reached a factory pre-set temperature.

If your humidity is high, a cold Coke can will get wet.

My suggestion would be to read the directions a few more times and study up on what your doing.

I have a Mach I and the IC7-G, so I have to use a seperate psu to jump the Mach I. I had heard you were supposed to check for condensation before turning the PC on. What they didn't tell me was to hook the heater up to the jumpered psu. I have the heater on and don't see any condensation. I'm going to leave it off for several hours once it gets to midnight to make sure everything is dried out before I turn the PC on for the first time.

How long should I let it sit to make sure it's dry?
